Ramanan meets representatives of the Malaysian Indian Contractors Association

Putrajaya: Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan met representatives of the Malaysian Indian Contractors Association on Wednesday, 1st April 2026, to hear their views on various issues affecting Indian contractors nationwide.

“I had the opportunity to conduct a meeting with the Indian Contractors Association in a constructive engagement session to listen and delve into the current challenges faced by contractors in the industry. The discussions also focused on strengthening capacity building and improving workforce skills, as well as examining aspects of worker welfare and protection, which continue to be priorities for ensuring the sector’s sustainability. At the meeting, a variety of views and suggestions were put forward by the industry, including the need for more responsive policy support to empower local contractors to remain competitive in an increasingly challenging economic environment,” Ramanan posted on his Facebook page.
