Wawasan Negara: Hamzah officially takes over as President with Rais Yatim as Chairperson!
Kuala Lumpur: Parti Wawasan Negara’s launch follows months of intense internal friction between Hamzah Zainudin and Bersatu President Muhyiddin Yassin, culminating in Hamzah’s dismissal from the party earlier this year.
Hamzah recently announced that he and the group of MPs expelled from Bersatu would form a new party named ‘Parti Wawasan Negara’, which was reportedly suggested directly by PAS President Abdul Hadi Awang, signalling a highly coordinated consolidation of power as the party formally integrates into the Perikatan Nasional opposition coalition ahead of the upcoming state legislative elections.
