Ramayana: Upcoming cinematic adaptation trailer surpasses 100 Million Views!

MUMBAI: The timeless Hindu epic Ramayana, a story revered across generations and frequently adapted into successful films and television series, is set to return to the big screen again on a grand scale. The upcoming cinematic production promises rich visual storytelling, extensive visual effects (VFX), and advanced cinematic techniques.

Originally shot in Hindi and set to be dubbed across multiple regional languages, as well as in English, the film is slated for a global theatrical release during the Deepavali festival this year. Ahead of its worldwide premiere during the Deepavali season, the film’s teaser trailer achieved a major milestone, crossing 100 million views within days of its release. This sets a record as the first trailer in Indian cinema history to cross the 100 million view mark in such a short period.

Data indicates that over 83 million views came from the Hindi-language trailer, while alternative regional language versions accounted for more than 23 million views combined. In addition, the film’s release in English marks a notable highlight for international distribution.

Star-studded cast and high praise for Yash portraying Ravana

The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi as Sita. However, early audience reactions and critical reviews following the teaser highlighted the performance of Kannada action star Yash, famous for the KGF franchise, who portrays the antagonist, Ravana. Critics have praised Yash’s commanding screen presence, physical transformation, and faithful character design.

With massive global anticipation building ahead of its theatrical debut, Ramayana is positioned as one of the most anticipated Indian film releases.
