BERSAMA enters Johor race – Launches ‘Jelajah Kancil’ nationwide tour
JOHOR BARU: In a definitive move that is set to reshape the regional political landscape, Parti Bersama Malaysia (BERSAMA) has officially confirmed its participation in the upcoming 2026 Johor State Election.
The strategic decision was finalized following a series of deliberations between BERSAMA’s national leadership and selected council members from across the country. Further programmatic discussions with Johor BERSAMA representatives are scheduled to take place today to meticulously identify and carve out the specific state constituencies the party intends to contest.
The 2026 Johor polls present a crucial platform to formally introduce BERSAMA to the southern state’s electorate. Remarkably, the snap election arrives less than a month since the party’s high-profile relaunch on May 17.
By diving directly into the high-stakes electoral trenches in Johor, BERSAMA aims to rapidly mobilize and fortify its grassroots election machinery within a heavily compressed timeframe. Leadership noted that the snap polls will serve as an essential proving ground to stress-test the efficiency of their ground operations, analyze administrative vulnerabilities, and refine their strategy ahead of future national campaigns.
Coinciding with this major electoral declaration, BERSAMA announced that its highly anticipated nationwide itinerary will officially kick off in Johor this coming Saturday, June 6, 2026. The inaugural assembly is scheduled to convene at the Danga Bay Convention Centre in Johor Baru at 8:00 PM.
Dubbed the “Jelajah Kancil” (Kancil Tour), the comprehensive state-by-state campaign will systematically focus on detailing the “12 BERSAMA Agendas,” with each state tour dedicated to unpacking a single core pillar of the party’s national reform manifesto.
